Located adjacent to one of the world's greenest spots, the source of the River Nile, Bush Fruits Africa is an adventure farm that practices agroecology and permaculture farming on 1064 acres of land in Eastern Uganda.

We farm "like a forest" using agroecology and permaculture principles, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem.

Our main educational and processing center located near the source of the River Nile. This farm serves as a learning hub for sustainable agriculture practices.
The scenic stone house on green Busaino hill (which means "very nice indeed") serves as our main headquarters and agri-tourism center.
Sustainable agriculture and community development
We produce organic fruits (avocadoes, mangoes, and jackfruit) integrated with herbs, trees, and livestock, all blending in like a tropical forest. Our fruits are organically grown in the tropical sun and given time to mature naturally, developing a special aroma unique to this region.
We add value to fruits and blend them with herbs to produce medicinal herbal teas, cough syrups, massage oils, essential oils, and herbal juices. All our products are branded under the NAMAZ brand - natured and nurtured by the African sun.
We maintain sacred and edible herb gardens, preserving and multiplying disappearing varieties of indigenous herbs for learning, education, and income generation. Our passion for herbs drives us to collect them from the wild, domesticate them, and scale the gardens.
We carry out artisan rural processing activities with 356 women micro-enterprises. These women collect fruit seeds and foliage herbs, and sort, wash, winnow, dry, and roast herbs. By purchasing from Bush Fruits, you contribute to women's income and their children's education.
Bush Fruits has a social mission through working with the village. We have a passion for herbs, for the women who have valuable indigenous knowledge, and for preserving disappearing varieties.
Our activities include herb hunting - foraging for herbs and sharing knowledge with the community. We believe in sustainable agriculture that benefits both people and the planet.
